Creative LED Desk Lamp

Inspiration can always be found in nature. Indeed, nature is perfect, and artists often look for ideas just by observing natural phenomena. Inspiration can be powerful ocean waves, bright sun, majestic mountains, or things that are always around us, such as grass or a drop of water. Maybe it was a sunny morning after a brief shower that inspired the American designer Victor Vetterlein to design a desk lamp.

At first glance, this lamp is like five pencils or sticks stuck in the stand. However, this composition is not an ordinary one. It has other possibilities.

This lamp, named FRESH LED desk lamp really looks like thin, tall grass that bends under the weight drops.

It is interesting that each stem of FRESH led lamp is bendable in all directions individually or bent together give a stronger beam of light.

Brightness can be also easily adjusted, depending on the needs of as user.

As we can see, the power voltage converter necessary for operating the low energy light source is placed in the base of the lamp for additional counterbalance.

The lamp consists of a rubber coated metal base, neoprene coated solid aluminum arms, and a dimmable LED light source with an acrylic magnifying lens.

Sending Christmas cards during this festive time has a long tradition, however, due to the modern technical devices there are less and less people who send a real Christmas card for their loved. The Internet has contributed to the situation that the interest in real Christmas cards weakens, because it is faster to send an e-mail or sms. Despite this, Christmas cards do have something special. They seem to have their own story, each carrying a specific message. As if they have a soul. Another prove they are more valuable then an instant message or e-mail is that sending them require time and effort. With that, we show that we appreciate and care for someone. This is exactly what should be in the center of this holiday. Love and care.

Easter Eggs Decoration

Here we are, celebrating Easter again with many distinguish features. Maybe the most popular among them are Easter eggs, which are beautifully decorated. The origin of Easter egg is not determined precisely, but there are several assumptions:

• Persians used to paint eggs as a part of their New Year celebrations which was on the Spring Equinox. This tradition of painting these eggs is said to have continued and now these eggs are known as Easter eggs.
• The egg is considered to be a symbol of new life. The tradition of Easter eggs probably started at the end of the deprivations of Lent.
• In the medieval times these eggs were forbidden during Lent. After the strict fasting days, the consumption of eggs was resumed and this was the time of Easter. This is the time eggs became an integral part of Easter meals.

The egg is seen by followers of Christianity as a symbol of resurrection . In the Orthodox and Eastern Catholic Churches, Easter eggs are dyed red to represent the blood of Christ , shed on the Cross, and the hard shell of the egg symbolized the sealed Tomb of Christ -the cracking of which symbolized his resurrection from the dead.

There are specific decorating techniques which are used by people from different countries. As a part of the folk tradition of a country, Easter eggs are popular and widely used and decorated in Bulgaria, Russia, Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary and many other countries.

A Hungarian artist , Csuhaj Tunde was born in 1954, she graduated studies in ceramics at the University of the Arts , Pecs, Hungary. Since 1990, she has decorated geese, swan, emu, rhea and ostrich eggs and has produced astonishing Easter eggs. Her techniques are mainly etching, drilling and painting.

We are all familiar with the fact that plastic bags are the major pollutants nowadays. Discarded plastic carrying bags can be seen hanging from the branches of trees, settled amongst bushes or in gutters, as well as flying in the air on windy days. There is also too many litter found along river banks and coastlines, so animals and sea creatures are hurt and accidentally killed by all that rubbish. The population is warned by environmentalists about all the damages that our contemporary consumer society can cause. However, it is not always easy to find a good solution. Eventually, we can contribute by recycling, choosing biodegradable bags or reusing bags when shopping.

Some artist found plastic bags as a basic material for their artworks or everyday items. Carpets, curtains, bags, garments or even sculptures and lamps can be made.

We can see some mind-blowing exhibitions known as Lighting bags, where the author work with used plastic bags. While watching them, we should re-think our attitudes toward the usage of plastic bags and other things made of polluting materials.
